| a staged reading of "LOVING" University of Pittsburgh, February 6, 7, 8, 2008 Heymann Theater |

| The staged reading is a wonderful tool for playwrights to hear the words they've written, and to see how actors interpret them. The staged reading also exposes flaws in dialogue and plot, so that the playwright is able to see, hear and rewrite at the same time. "Loving" was my first attempt at playwriting, and I am forever grateful to Kathy George for her encouragement and instruction, and to the actors and technical staff for volunteering their time to the production |
